DAY 01 : MEDAN ARRIVAL  (L.D)

On arrival in Medan as capital city of North Sumatra meeting service and transfer to hotel. After few minutes resting, Medan city tour by visiingt the Royal Palace of Sultan Deli, known as Maimoon Palace, built in 1888. See the grand mosque “Mesjid Raya”, built in 1906 and the largest in town. We’ll also visit Asam Kumbang Farm, where you will observe crocodiles of different sizes and ages. Browse for antiques at Kesawan Street in the old colonial part of the town. You will feel the Dutch colonial architectural touch in buildings like the post office and Medan City Hall.

 DAY 02  :   MEDAN – BERASTAGI(B.L.D)

After having Breakfast at hotel depart to Berastagi, a cool mountain resort with stops at SIBOLANGIT Botanical Nature Reserve and the traditional Batak Karo Village of PECEREN. Lunch is is served at local restaurant and  Overnight at hotel in Berastagi.

DAY 03   :   BERASTAGI– PARAPAT– SAMOSIR  (B,L.D)

After breakfast, depart for PARAPAT. Drive along a scenic mountain road. Enroute visit to SIPISOPISO Waterfall, the ancient palace of Batak Simalungun former King at PEMATANG PURBA, and other interesting sights. Arrival at Parapat, lunch at a local restaurant then crosses Lake TOBA to SAMOSIR Island by motorboat.Overnight at hotel on Samosir Island.

DAY 04   :   LAKE TOBA EXCURSION  (B,L.D)

After breakfast, full day excursion on Samosir Island by motorboat, visiting the traditional Batak Toba Village and the tomb of the Batak King Sidabutar at TOMOK; the village of AMBARITA, the place of stone court of justice belongs to the former kings; and the village of SIMANINDO, the place of the former King Sidauruk’s long house.  Lunch enroute. Overnight at hotel on Samosir Island.

DAY 05    :  SAMOSIR – PARAPAT  PADANGSIDEMPUAN (B,L.D)  

After breakfast, return to Parapat by boat and rejoin your overland tour continuing to SIPIROK or PADANG SIDEMPUAN with stops at JANGGA to see the traditional houses of local people, PORSEA to get the last glimpse of Lake Toba, BALIGE where the legendary Batak ruler King Sisingamangaraja XII is buried. TARUTUNG the 300 years old capital of regency of North Tapanuli which prides itself in being the center of better educated Bataks during the Dutch Colonial rule. Lunch at TARUTUNG. Afternoon arrives at hotel for your Overnight

DAY 06    :  PADANGSIDEMPUAN– BUKIT TINGGI WEST SUMATRA (B,L.D)

After breakfast, leave for BUKITTINGGI, the enchanting cultural capital and center of the extra ordinary MINANGKABAU tribe.  Stops will be made at USOR TOLANG to see the traditional houses and way of life of the BATAK MANDAILING tribe; a nature reserve at RIMBA PANTI, and other places of interest. Crossing the Equator line at the equator monument in BONJOL. Continue through the most beautiful sights (dense jungles and deep valleys) of the island of Sumatera. Lunch is taken enroute at a local restaurant. Overnight at a hotel in Bukittinggi

DAY 07   : BUKIT TINGGI EXCURSION (B,L.D )

Breakfast at hotel. A full-day tour of the MINANG- KABAU Highland with visits to HARAU VALLEY (315-hectare fertile valley which is surrounded by granite walls 100-150 meters tall – a waterfall and beautiful pond are located in this nature reserve). TABEK PATAH, BATUSANGKAR village, center of the ancient Minangkabau Kingdom of PAGARUYUNG and is rich in historic relics. Lake SINGKARAK, the ideal places for recreation and water-sport ; and other interesting points. Lunch enroute. Overnight at your hotel in Bukittinggi.

DAY  08  :  BUKIT TINGGI – PADANG (B,L.D)

After breakfast at hotel tour is Proceed in Bukit Tinggi with enjoying sightseeing tour of Bukittinggi visiting NGARAI SIANOK, a 100 meters high canyon; FORT DE KOCK, name after General De Kock who governed Bukittinggi during the period 1821-1837, and PASAR ATAS local market. Then  to Padang via the magnificent ANAI VALLEY with its dense and very impressive tropical rain forest (take a glance of the famous BATANG ANAI WATERFALL). Lunch enroute.Overnight at the hotel in Padang.

DAY 09  :  PADANG – SULAWESI  (B,L.D)

Breakfast at hotel. Morning free is leisure,  stroll around the city or shop and hunt for  Minangkabau souvenir. Until the time to, transferred to the airport
for Flight to Makassar the Capital city of South Sulawesi. Arrive in Makassar meeting Service and directly to Hotel for Overnights stay.

DAY 10  : MAKASSAR – TANAH TORAJA   (B.L.D)

After having breakfast depart to Toraja Land, one of the most mysterious provinces in Indonesia. The drive will take you through forests of ebony, teak and mahogany, lush and dense with orchids in all colors of the rainbow growing in abundance. En route stop for lunch in Pare Pare. Arrive late in the afternoon at Toraja

DAY 11  : TANAH TORAJA TOUR (B.L.D)

After breakfast embark on an all-day excursion of Toraja Land. The Toraja are a mystic people who believe that they are descended from heaven and came to earth in ships, thus their houses resemble up-turned ships. One of the mysterious aspects of Toraja culture is their worship of  the dead. The Hanging Graves, tombs carved into cliffs in the forest, guarded by wooden effigies are a fascinating and eerie sight.  After exploring the cliff graves you continue to a traditional Toraja village with rows of “boat houses”.  Here you can observe local artisans at work. Late afternoon return to the hotel with time to relax until dinner either at the hotel or at a local restaurant.  B L D

DAY 12 : TORAJA TOUR (B.L.D)

This morning an excursion will take you into the mountains to an elevation of almost 6000 feet. This area is known for its coffee and tea plantations, one which you will visit. Later you are the guests of the manager of a self-reliance group,  natives who have been trained  to manage their natural resources, thus having become self-reliant, rather than to be substituted by government assistance.  Dinner this evening is either in the village or at the hotel.  B L D

DAY 13 : TORAJA – BUGIS TOUR (B.L.D )

Today you leave Toraja to travel to Sengkang located in an area that is home to the primitive and exotic Buginese. The drive along mountain roads will take you through a scenic national park. At noon you arrive in Sengkang. After checking into the hotel and  pausing for lunch visit Tempe Lake aboard a traditional boat to see the floating houses of the Buginese. Back at the hotel enjoy your tropical surroundings before meeting for a traditional Buginese dinner. B L D

DAY 14  ; SENGKANG – TANJUNG  BIRA ( B.L.D)

After breakfast visit local weavers to observe the making of silk fabrics and the beautiful traditional sarongs. Then continue to Bira making stops along the way to visit a rubber plantation and a village of boat builders whose craft has been passed on through the centuries. Later in the afternoon arrive in Bira where you will stay in a hotel facing the  turquoise sea dotted with dozens of green islands. Overnight and dinner in Bira.  B L D

DAY 15  : FULL DAY  TANJUNG BIRA TOUR (B.L.D)

Free at leisure and after breakfast, full day tour in Bira and you can snorkeling, diving (optional ) or crossing from isle to isle. the afternoon return to the hotel for dinner and overnight. B L D

DAY 16  : TANJUNG BIRA – MAKASSAR (B.L.D)

After breakfast leave Bira to travel to Makassar, the capital of South Sulawesi. En route visit a local village and a sea-salt producing farm. Arrive at Makassar in time for lunch. After checking in your 4-star hotel the afternoon is at leisure to go shopping.  Dinner  is in nearby restaurant where you will sample the specialties of local cuisine.   B L D

DAY 17  : MAKASSAR – DEPARTURE  (B.L.)

This morning embark on a city tour of Makassar visiting Fort Rotterdam build by the King of Makassar in 1645, as well as several other historic sights in the city. Later transfer to the airport for your flight back to your home or your other tour destination in Indonesia
